Welcome to Squicorn (松鼠听写). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Squicorn mobile application (“App”) and related services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Squicorn

Squicorn is an offline iOS dictation tool that uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to help users practice dictation. The App:

• Performs OCR processing entirely on your device (offline)
• Allows you to create custom word banks from photos
• Provides voice-controlled dictation practice
• Operates without requiring an internet connection for core features

2. License and Usage

2.1 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.

2.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App

3. User Content

3.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the photos, images, and word banks you create or import into the App. All OCR processing and data storage occurs locally on your device.

3.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you process through the App and must ensure you have the necessary rights to use such content.

4. Privacy and Data

4.1 Offline Processing

The App performs OCR processing entirely on your device. Your photos and word banks are stored locally and are not transmitted to our servers.

5. Subscription and Payment

5.1 Free Features

The App offers basic features at no cost.

5.2 Premium Features

Premium features may be offered through in-app purchases or subscriptions. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds are subject to Apple’s App Store refund policy.

5.4 Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Changes will not affect current subscription periods.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 “As Is” Basis

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

7.2 OCR Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that OCR results will be 100% accurate. OCR accuracy depends on image quality and other factors.

7.3 No Liability for Loss

We are not liable for any loss of data, content, or functionality that may occur.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
